FREEQUEENCY 2024
Be yourself and free yourself at the FreeQueency, the official kick-off to Her Set Her Sound's summer series featuring groundbreaking talent transforming the music scene on and off the stage. On June 29 at Nomad's West End, meet and greet Big Freedia, NWA Pride's headliner and iconic bounce music artist, and enjoy DJ sets from DJ Ash B, hART thROB, King Honey, DJ N8Tiv, and DJ ABnormal. Together, we will cherish the vibe, hit the dance floor, and set the tone for lovers of timeless worldwide music like Hip-Hop and R&B, House, Amapiano, and more.
ALTÉ DANCE NIGHT APRIL 2024
Back by popular demand, Alté (Dance) Nights return to bring you your favorite jams from across the diaspora!
On April 27 at West and Watson, experience a fusion of Afro-music, Hip-Hop, Dance and Soul with sounds covered by DJ Dribblz and hART thROB.
QUEENDOM: FAYETTEVILLE EDITION
Queendom is an empowering all-women showcase of established and emerging poets, emcees, performing artists, and more stopping in Fayetteville, Arkansas on its tour across the Midwest and Central South to spotlight the incredible talents of women in our region!
This experience is a vibrant and diverse celebration hosted by award-winning spoken word artist, Jerica Wortham, and presented by the J’Parlé Artist Group Inc. out of Tulsa, Oklahoma in collaboration with Her Set Her Sound. This signature annual event offers attendees a rich tapestry of performances and culture from powerful poetry readings and dynamic music performances to captivating dance presentations that span multiple styles and genres. Expect comedy acts filled with sharp wit, live music from the soul, local vendors, and more in an energizing, light-hearted, and inspiring atmosphere. Queendom is more than just a celebration of artistic prowess; it's a platform for community, empowerment, and the elevation of the female spirit.
ALTÉ DANCE NIGHT 2024
Her Set Her Sound presents Alté Dance Nights, bringing you flava in ya ear, flava in ya mouth, and most importantly, flava on that dance floor.
On February 17 at West and Watson, experience an Afro-movement class, Bajan cuisine from the Fiyah Pot, and a fusion of Afro-music, Hip-Hop, Soul, and Dance. This is a 21+ event.
